Reimbursement InformationCARTICEL® is covered by most health care plans, most of which routinely reimburse fully for this treatment option using the unique CPT code for autologous chondrocyte implantation, 27412.
The Carticel Care® program has been developed to help assist in coordinating coverage determinations for CARTICEL in the following areas: - Information on reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements
- Provision of suggested billing mechanisms
- Information for effective communications with insurers
- Assistance providing insurance carriers with appropriate clinical information
